Syria: Nato planning direct military intervention

Zuckerberg+meets+SarkozyElysee8.jpgThe head of Russia's security council said he had seen intelligence indicating plans for a military incursion were well advanced.

"We are getting information that Nato members and some Persian Gulf States, operating according to the Libya scenario, intend to move from indirect intervention in Syrian affairs to direct military intervention," Nikolai Patrushev, the head of the Kremlin security body said in an interview published in Russia's Kommersant newspaper on Thursday.

"This time it is true that the main strikes forces will not be provided by France, the UK or Italy, but possibly by neighbouring Turkey which was until recently on good terms with Syria and is a rival of Iran with immense ambitions." America and Turkey were even now possibly already refining options for a no-fly zone that would allow armed Syrian opposition fighters to mass in the designated areas, he added.

Facebook censures for information about NATO

Zuckerberg_meets_Obama.jpgFacebook blocked our Facebook Page after publications about NATO.  Our Server and blog were also blocked for a while.  Strange in this case is that a certain Debbie-Anne (unknown to us) bombarded us with many Facebook people we did not know. She introduced them as ‘friends’. One of these people we accepted as ”friend”, seemed to be a Libyan NATO-collaborator.  We published a number of issues on the NATO on his Facebook page… Some weeks ago, Facebook blocked us and deleted  a photo montage of Barack Obama that we found some months ago when the media announced Osama bin Laden (in the press erroneously called Obama bin Laden) was murdered.  Facebook deleted also our commentary: ‘Obama was a terrorist – Three days after NATO intervened in Libya, the cost to U.S. taxpayers has reached hundreds of millions of dollars and continued to climb. 14% of the Americans live in poverty. America needs a regime change‘.

HERE IS OUR FACEBOOK ADDRESS.  WE HOPE THAT FACEBOOK HAS NOT CLOSED THIS PAGE AND DELETED ALL THE INFORMATION AGAIN: http://en-gb.facebook.com/people/Jan-Boeykens/10000218082...

NATO and Israel provoke a new world war...

nato, israel, drones, industryThe drones (unmanned aircraft) used by NATO for bombing Afghanistani, Pakistani and Libyan civilians are designed by Israel. Israeli specialists are on the air base at Ein Shemer for training the flight of “Herons” repainted in the colors of Germany. Most of Israeli military products are standard NATO-compatible.

The NATO-collaborators in Libya said: "We will recognise Israel and the future regime will maintain normal relations with other democratic countries, including Israel".

"Let me stress that NATO has no intention whatsoever to intervene in Iran, and NATO is not engaged as an alliance in the Iran question," NATO-Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen said (Associated Press 11.3.2011).  Later, Italian Defense Ministry spokesman Capt. Emiliano Biasco confirmed that an exercise involving Israel and other countries was held at Decimomannu in late October. He declined to give more details. NATO cooperates closely with Israel as part of a group of friendly nations in the region, known as the Mediterranean Dialogue. Israeli warships have participated in exercises with NATO ships in the eastern Mediterranean. Fogh Rasmussen visited Israel earlier this year.

A United Nations commission of inquiry on Monday called for an arms embargo on Syria, but... Russia rejected the demand. Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov described such calls “dishonest” as they implied an arms cutoff to the Syrian government but not to its opponents. “We know how that worked in Libya when the arms embargo only applied to the Libyan army, whereas the opposition received weapons, and countries like France and Qatar were not embarrassed to admit this publicly,” he said, adding that was time to “stop using ultimatums” to pressure Damascus and seek a political settlement to the conflict. The United Nations Security Council is a headless chicken

Tomorrow, the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon will release a statement supporting the legality of the Israeli intervention against the 2010 ‘Gaza Freedom Flotilla’.

Moon is the man who, on the request of Tel Aviv and Washington, blocks alle the UN resolutions critical of Israel and gave the NATO a mandate to destroy Libya with bombs of Depleted Uranium.

Libya was 5.000 times bombed with an UN-mandate. Bombs with Depleted Uranium...
Cities in Iraq where Depleted Uranium (DU) weapons were heavily used, such as Basra, Samara, Baghdad, Mosul and probably especially Fallujah, which was virtually leveled in a November 2004 Marine assault, are showing high rates of birth defects, many of which, along with unusually high rates of leukemia, medical experts say are emblematic of fetal radiation damage.

Libya: Peace proposal

knightsround.jpg

Peace Proposal:

Stop the bombing. Cease fire. Negotiations. Free elections taking into account Gaddafi's actual Elections Offer. The return of the Libyan money, blocked by the U.S. and European banks, to the Libyan State. The transfer of the money of the Libyan State that was intended for African projects, to the leaders of the African Union.
Russia has agreed to mediate in this conflict.

The so called 'Libyan rebels' wich are paid by the NATO, are rejecting every peace proposal...

Facebook, G8 summit, Sarkozy and the bombing of Libya

Mark Zuckerberg, the boss of Facebook, was the most anticipated speaker of the G8 summit of last week.

On 15th April 2011, the British, American and French leaders David Cameron, Barack Obama and Nicolas Sarkozy said that the Libyan leader
Gaddafi must ‘go and go for good before rebuilding of the country could begin’, rejecting calls for an immediate ceasefire…

Action before the NATO-buildings in Brussels

Nato Brussels headquarters to cost €1billion

Nato’s new headquarters in Brussels will cost its members €1billion (£841 million) at a time of deep cuts to British defence budgets and despite promises by the Alliance to cut its costs.

Officials confirmed the rising scale of the cost against a background of Nato pledges to reduce its command structure, agencies and national HQs by 30 per cent in response to savage defence cuts in most of its 28 member states. But despite the promises of cuts to Nato bureaucracy, construction began in mid-December on a stylish new building to house military officials. Work is scheduled to finish in 2015.

U.N. lies and NATO bombs in Libya

Nato bombs Tripoli as UN’s Amos calls for ‘pause’

May 10, 2011 - (AP)  TRIPOLI, Libya (AP) — NATO warplanes struck a command center in Tripoli early Tuesday in the heaviest bombing of the Libyan capital in weeks.

The NATO planes struck what the alliance called a command and control facility in downtown Tripoli, according to Italian Brig. Gen. Claudio Gabellini.
“All NATO targets are military targets,” said Gabellini, who serves on NATO’s planning staff at the headquarters in Naples.
He denied that NATO was targeting Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.
In the latest strike, NATO planes hit at least four sites in Tripoli, setting off explosions that thundered through the city overnight. One strike hit a building that locals said was used by a military intelligence agency. Another targeted a government building that officials said was sometimes used by parliament members.
It was not immediately clear what the other two strikes hit, but one of them sent plumes of smoke that appeared to come from the sprawling compound housing members of Gadhafi’s family.
Between explosions, an aircraft dropped burning flares. Some residents responded by raking the sky with gunfire and beeping their horns.
Reporters, who may not leave their Tripoli hotel without government escorts, were shown damage done to a nearby hospital. A physician, Dr. Mustafa Rahim, said a 4-year-old boy was badly injured, but would not allow reporters to see him, saying he was in intensive care.

—-

May 11, 2011 - In Tripoli, a series of explosions were heard this morning as NATO continues its bombardment of the country.

The first was heard at about 0730 local time. They continued sporadically until about 0815 local time. Neither NATO nor the Libyan government has commented on what was hit.    Two nights ago Nato conducted its heaviest night of bombing in two weeks.   The alliance said it had hit “command and control” facilities in the capital, but the Libyan government claimed the bombs hit administrative buildings.  Government officials said several children had been injured in a hospital neighbouring one of the buildings hit. They showed journalists damage to one of the wards but would not allow us to see the injured children.

In Strasbourg, the European Union’s Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton has announced that the EU is to open up an office in the rebel-held city of Benghazi in eastern Libya.  It is another sign of a marked increase in cooperation with the opposition group trying to remove Colonel Gaddafi from power.

Officially Nato insists it does not target individuals, pointing out its mandate is to “protect civilians”. It claims only to target “command and control” facilities. But the Italian Defence Minister has now said Col Gaddafi could be a legitimate target, a view which echoed those of British Defence Secretary Liam Fox.  Speaking to the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, Ignazio La Russa said: “Military targets are not identified and hit based on who might or might not be inside.  ”If, for example, it is a place from which orders are being issued to strike against civilians then a raid is legitimate.”

'Dagan thinks that Barak is crazy enough to strike Iran'

The former Mossad chief Meir Dagan's decision to speak out forcefully and publicly against the idea of striking Iran's nuclear facilities from the air was prompted by his fear that the defense minister, Ehud Barak, and to a lesser extent, the prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, are still considering taking precipitous action against Iran, three Israeli sources told me over the weekend.
Dagan, called the notion of an Israeli preemptive strike "foolish," saying that it would accrue no benefits to Israel. This brought him some pushback, especially from Barak. According to The Jerusalem Post, Barak said "that all of the country's security and defense organizations - the IDF, Mossad and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) - were tasked with building up capabilities and submitting recommendations to political leaders, who are charged with making the final decision. 'In the end, these are decisions that belong to the political echelon,' he said."...

Israeli boxing champion: interview

- You are literally the Jewish George Foreman. Does that feel like fate to you?

Yeah. The Jewish George Foreman without the grill.

- You’ve spoken proudly about being an Israeli boxing champion. How does your identity tie into your drive as a boxer?

A lot. I’ve been in Brooklyn quite a few years, but my love of Israel keeps growing. I’m an Israeli citizen and my dad lives there, a lot of friends. I’m very connected to the country and to the people. I have a lot of support from Israel and from Jewish people around the world. In Brooklyn, especially. I feel very connected. It’s great being the Israeli boxing world champion.

- Will you use your title to represent Israel?

Of course. I always come into the fight with the Israeli flag. My hope is to inspire people in Israel that you can be spiritual and still pursue other things in life. Not necessarily that if you’re spiritual, you have to give up on your dreams. You can be religious and be a boxer, or be a musician.

- You’ve said that smarts is one of your greatest assets as a fighter. How does that come into play?

Trying to really think and outsmart your opponent. You try to be a few steps ahead of them. For example, Santos is left-handed and I’ve never fought a professional left-hander. So I had my game plan. I had to stay focused and move to my left, behind his left-to-right. He’s also a bigger guy. He’s stronger. So I had to use my head.

- Do you think the general public overlooks the intelligence of boxers?

Not many people know what’s going on in the ring. Many people just look at it as some form of violent sport and there’s not much brain involved. For me, boxing is very intellectual. You have to really use your head in order to win. It’s not always power. It’s also how you use your power, and taking advantage of the mistakes of your opponent.

- You spoke openly about praying during the fight. Do you think all boxers pray in the ring?

In the ring you’re involved with someone who wants to take your head off. Sometimes you need help, so why not ask God? Prayers help with being focused and also feeling more calm. Not panicking.

- What do you find spiritual about boxing?

It’s a different kind of spiritual. You’re aware of not just your own power, but the outside force of God. You go through difficult moments. If you get hit by a strong punch or something hurts, I make a really quick request like, ‘Please, God, give me help or give me strength.’ That’s how I translate it. It’s spiritual.

- How soon do you think it will be until you defend your title?

Right now, I’m not throwing any predictions. I’m relaxing. I’m a little bit tired still. I’m resting from boxing, and then we’ll see. I know there are a lot of fighters who want to have a piece of me right now.

- When you were training at the Arab gym in Israel when first starting, did it ever feel like more than just sparring?

When I came to Israel, I was a kid. For me, it was a tense moment. I’d never been at that gym. There were a lot of people staring at you. But after, they want to spar with you, you spar. There was never any hatred. I just wanted not to get beat up. And then you work out, you spar and things change. You become friends. You get respect. Whether you’re Jewish or Arab, who cares? You just want a good workout.

- Is there anything from the Torah that you particularly identify with?

In a Torah portion about three weeks ago, there was a passage about Abraham where God tells him to go by himself from the land of his father. God tells him, it’s your journey, you have to do it by yourself. You have to leave your house, leave your Dad. So I relate to this portion.

- Do you ever find anything contradictory about boxing and the Jewish laws that you’re studying?

No, I don’t. I look at boxing as very different than anybody else may see it. Many people probably think of boxing as pure violence. To tell you the truth, there’s more violence in American football. In any professional sport, there’s so much injury from violence, but people tend to talk about boxing more. I did boxing for such a long time before I became religious. So I’m not going to spend my daytime thinking, ‘Okay, this is wrong.’ I know I’m doing the right thing. There are a lot of Jewish people around the world that I made a little bit proud. And I’m very proud and very honored by that.

- In a recent New York Times article, everyone was falling over themselves saying you’re like a son to them. What, you’re such a mensch?

[Laughing.] I don’t know. I don’t know. The ‘Hebrew Hammer’ is already taken, and some people call you the ‘Lion of Zion.’

- But if you could make up your own Jewish nickname, what would it be?

Oh man, you’re putting me on the spot here. I don’t know. I actually never give myself a nickname. This ‘Lion of Zion,’ it’s not me who came up with it. It’s actually unofficial. I also heard about people talking about the ‘Fighting Rabbi.’ But I don’t like nicknames.

The request, filed by the United States, was jointly submitted by 10 European states, as well as Japan, Mexico, South Korea, Senegal and Zambia. No Arab countries were among those requesting the session, which requires one-third of the forum’s membership of 47 countries to proceed. The next few weeks will be decisive for Mr. Assad, because in the other Arab revolts the third-to-sixth weeks of street protests were the critical moment that determined whether the regime would collapse or persist. SYRIA NEXT TARGET IN 'WAR ON TERRORISM' ?
October 7, 2003 - The bombing of Syria: a new eruption of US-Israeli aggression
... At the United Nations, Israel’s ambassador, Dan Gillerman, appealed directly for the extension of Washington’s “war on terrorism” into a war to topple the regime in Damascus. “Syria would do well to take a hard look in the mirror and count itself fortunate that it has not yet, for unfortunate reasons, been the subject of concerted international action as part of the global campaign against terrorism,” he said, adding slowly after a brief pause, “Not yet.”
In recent months, the Bush administration has repeatedly threatened Damascus, describing the Syrian government as a “rogue state” and “terrorist sponsor,” while alleging that it possesses “weapons of mass destruction” and has allowed guerrilla fighters to cross its border into Iraq to resist the US occupation.
Many of these unsubstantiated charges directly parallel those used as the pretexts for launching the unprovoked war on Iraq.

Libyan peace talks: blocked by the U.S.

Len McCluskey: Libyan intervention should be halted and peace talks should be launched

6/4/2011 - The attack on Libya by British, French and US forces is wrong and should be halted without any further delay or futile loss of life, Len McCluskey, general secretary of Unite the Union, considers.

In his article published by The Guardian McCluskey writes: “I believe the present military intervention is a mistake which shows the lessons of Iraq have still not been learned.” Prolonging the conflict will surely lead to more civilian deaths at the hands of troops on both sides, in addition to those directly caused by the bombing, according to the author. The present action raises the alternative possibility of escalation, leading to military occupation of all or part of Libya. Similar occupations in Iraq and Afghanistan have shown how disastrous and counter-productive such interventions are, McCluskey reminds. “Escalation and "boots on the ground" will cost British soldiers' lives and will once more stoke up hostility to Britain across the Middle East and the Muslim world,” the author warns.

Rather than pumping up a civil war, coalition-members should be joining others in pushing for a ceasefire followed by international assistance in negotiating a better future for Libyans. “This could only lead to an extension of democracy in Libya at the very least, something that will be made harder by prolonged conflict” the author concludes.

The United States are blocking all the UN resolutions critical of Israel

Libya, U.S., blocking, Libyan Peace talks, loss of life, NATO,

Israel's ethnic cleansing plan

Since 2001, Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs and leader of Israel’s far right party, Avigdor Lieberman, proposes to establish four townships in the occupied West Bank, hermetically sealed, which would be grouped the Palestinians. He sees it as a solution for the Palestinian citizens of Israel, who are more than one million, to move the vast majority of the group in tightly closed, self-administered areas.
Thus would arise a State ethnically homogeneous from the Mediterranean Sea until the Jordan, sheltering in its midst Palestinian “Bantustans”.

Washington's support to ethnic cleansing and Apartheid of Israel

November 15, 2010 – ’U.S. President Barack Obama has praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for urging his cabinet to accept a U.S. proposal to extend a freeze on West Bank settlement building for 90 days. Under the plan, Washington would block UN resolutions critical of Israel, and supply Israel with fighter jets worth $3 billion. The US government also promised Israel that after the 90-day moratorium, they would not seek an extension, and settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem (all of which is illegal under international law) could continue unabated.’

'No-fly zone' Libya

They didn't know that there is some difference between a 'no-fly zone' and a 'bombing zone'

LibyanNATOcollaborators.jpg

The BBC's Wyre Davies: "There is a lot of anger and confusion at the hospital"

Rebels in eastern Libya say their forces have been mistakenly hit in a Nato air raid.

Doctors in Ajdabiya told the BBC at least 13 rebel fighters had been killed by the strike on a rebel tank position.

The BBC's Wyre Davies reports chaotic scenes on the outskirts of Ajdabiya, with rebel forces in retreat reporting being hit by Nato air strikes.

It is the third such incident in recent days involving international forces deployed to protect Libyan civilians.

One rebel commander told the BBC he saw at least four missiles land among rebel fighters.

Many people have been killed and many more have been injured, he said.

Civilians are reported to be fleeing Ajdabiya in their thousands, according to the latest wire reports, after rumours spread that Gaddafi forces were preparing to attack the city.

Rebel anger

The rebels had been taking a group of tanks, armoured vehicles and rocket launchers near the front line between the towns of Ajdabiya and Brega in more than 30 transporters.

Whether or not a Nato pilot mistook all of that heavy armour for Gaddafi weaponry remains unclear.

Following the apparent Nato attack, ambulances were seen heading in the opposite direction, towards the hospital in Ajdabiya.

There is considerable anger among rebel troops after what appears to have been a terrible mistake.

They are asking why rebel units were hit, when they could be seen clearly advancing in a westerly direction towards the front line.

"It is unbelievable," said one Benghazi resident. "Nato, with all the equipment they have - is this the second mistake? Is it really a mistake or something arranged secretly."

Another said: "The allies and the UN Security Council must allow us to be armed. We don't want anything, just to be armed to defend ourselves against this dictator and fascist."

Rebel forces in the area began retreating on Wednesday after heavy bombardment from government forces.

They had been calling for more Nato air strikes in recent days.

Nato is said to be looking into the incident.

'Friendly-fire incidents'

The alliance took over a week ago air operations from a US, French and British coalition to enforce a UN mandate to protect civilians in Libya.

Last Friday, at least 13 people were reportedly killed when a coalition plane fired on a rebel convoy between Brega and Ajdabiya.

Three medical students were among the dead.

The attack came after rebels reportedly fired an anti-aircraft gun.

In a separate incident, seven civilians died and 25 were hurt in a coalition air strike on a pro-Gaddafi convoy near Brega.

NATO-bombings of Libya: Wat's the role of Israel ?

WHAT IS THE ROLE OF ISRAEL IN THE NATO BOMBINGS OF LIBYA ?

1.3.2011- Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon on Tuesday said he believed a no-fly zone should be imposed on Libya to stop a "danger of genocide". Speaking at a conference in Brussels, Ayalon said international moves to impose a no-fly zone over Libya to stop Moamer Kadhafi using air strikes against his own people, 'had not been discussed by the Israeli government'. 'There is a danger of genocide in Libya. Morally we have to stop it', Ayalon said, adding "Its best to have the UN's okay." (AFP) Ayalon was the Israeli ambassador in the U.S.

On 2.3.2011 (one day later): 'Spare us the crocodile tears over Libya' - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said that a no-fly zone could be imposed on Libya, in order to prevent Gaddafi from bombing his own people. She has also hinted strongly that direct military intervention is on the cards and said that it is time for Gaddafi to go.

Since day one of the crisis in Libya, the corporate media has been in motion, preparing public opinion for war with Libya.
Western imperialism wants to justify its invasion of Libya by the humanitarian situation. Their only goal, again, is to get its hands on the wealth of the Libyan people. Let us prevent this scenario, mobilizing public opinion.

CHINA REGRETS MULTINATIONAL AIR STRIKES IN LIBYA

Beijing: China expressed regret on Sunday over the multinational air strikes in Libya, saying in a foreign ministry statement that it opposed the use of force in international relations.
“China has noted the latest developments in Libya and expresses regret over the military attacks on Libya,” the statement said.
Russia also issued a similarly worded statement in which it called for a ceasefire as soon as possible.
China’s statement made no mention of a ceasefire and stressed that China respected the north African country’s “sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity”.
“We hope Libya can restore stability as soon as possible and avoid further civilian casualties due to an escalation of armed conflict,” it added.

In 1986 the US launches air strikes on Libya

US launches air strikes on Libya
At least 100 people have died after USA planes bombed targets in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and the Benghazi region.
Around 66 American jets, some of them flying from British bases launched an attack at around 0100hrs on Monday.
The White House spokesman, Larry Speakes, has said that the strike was directed at key military sites but reports suggest that missiles also hit Bin Ashur, a densely populated suburb in the capital.
Colonel Muamar Gaddafi residential compound took a direct hit that killed Hanna Gaddafi, the adopted baby daughter of the Libyan leader.
President Reagan has justified the attacks by accusing Libya of direct responsibility for terrorism aimed at America, such as the bombing of La Belle discoteque in West Berlin 10 days ago.
President Reagan made a TV address to the American people two hours after the attack.
In it he said : "When our citizens are attacked or abused anywhere in the world on the direct orders of hostile regimes, we will respond so long as I'm in this office."
He argued that America was exercising its right to self defence as defined by Article 51 of the UN charter.
The presidential spokesman, Larry Speakes, said, "US forces have executed a series of carefully planned air strikes against terrorist targets in Libya."
He added: "Every effort has been made to avoid hitting civilian targets."
The attacks began soon after an increase in coded radio traffic between US ships and planes off the Libyan coast had been noticed.
The fighter jets appear to have been both carrier based aircraft, operating in the Mediterranean and British based bombers which would have refuelled in mid air.
The Americans hit the harbour's naval academy, the capital's military airport and army barracks.
Tripoli's embassy area and residential districts also suffered extensive damage.
The Tripoli central hospital and two other medical centres say they have treated hundreds of injured people, including a number of Greeks, Italians and Yugoslavs.
Mobs of angry survivors have taken to the streets shouting: "Down, down USA. Death to all Americans."
There are also fears that Britain may be subject to terrorist attacks because some of its involvement in the raids.
The Syrian based terrorist group, Arab Revolutionary Cells, has announced on Lebanese radio that it will target both British and American interests.
